The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Saturday announced the immediate end of its protest after the Central Government agreed to all of its major demands. Supporters gathered at Delhi's Jantar Mantar were asked to peacefully return home following the announcement.
The decision was revealed during a joint press conference attended by CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, along with Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. The breakthrough came shortly after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as the Union Education Minister, fulfilling the CJP's primary demand.
According to the party, the government has also agreed to withdraw all police cases filed against students involved in the protests. Officials assured that no further legal action would be taken against them. In addition, the families of students who died by suicide in connection with the NEET paper leak controversy will receive the maximum compensation allowed under existing government rules and regulations.
The announcement marks the end of the protest movement, with both sides describing the agreement as a positive step toward addressing students' concerns and restoring public confidence
